For the inaugural edition of Art Central Hong Kong, Schuebbe Inc. will be showing two early sculptures by German artist Lothar Fischer for the first time: his Orpheus from 1963 and his Fluch aus dem Morgenland (Flight from the Orient) from 1959. Among Fischer's fellow artists with whom he founded the collective SPUR (1958 - 1965) were Heimrad PremHelmut Sturm and HP Zimmer. Together with Sturm's Rosenrot, 1963 and Prem's painting Untitled, 1961, this year's booth will feature Zimmer's Ich-schrumpfung (Ego-shrinkage), 1961.

Following the exhibition Emmanuel Le Cerf & Bruno Albizzati earlier this year, the gallery will show Le Cerf's video loop Bronco, 2010 and his Les corps inconsolables, 2015. Two new large charcoal drawings and a selection of smaller pastel/paraffin works by Bruno Albizzati will be on view as well. The booth will also feature new works by Piot Brehmer, NashunbatuMalte RenzChristian Schoeler and Tianhong Sheng.
